However, the information provided in Prevent Blindness America's Vision Learning Center is designed to support, not replace, the relationship that exists between a patient/site visitor and his or her doctor.

All Prevent Blindness America's health information, whether in print or online, is periodically reviewed, edited and revised by leading national experts in a number of vision health fields.

All health information relating to children's eye health is reviewed and approved by our Pediatric Advisory Committee.

All information relating to adult vision health is reviewed and approved by our Adult Vision Advisory Committee.

Prevent Blindness America's Scientific Advisory Committee retains overall responsibility to recommend research, scientific and medical policy; to ensure accurate representation of such in all materials and programs of the organization; and to channel recommendations from the Pediatric Advisory Committee and the Adult Vision Advisory Committee to the board of directors.
